Well folks, let's take a look at the history real quick-like. Here's my art-resume, small but potent…
– Graduate from University of North Texas with a BFA in Drawing and Painting.
– Spend the next 2 years traveling the road playing music, discovering my need to create art that looks very much like a tattoo.
– Built a website (waykoolart.com) and opened the shop (er, my living room) for business. Enter my first group show, “The Go Away Garage” Kustom Kulture Show in Wichita Kansas.
– My first daughter is born and I take the next 3 years off to raise kids!
– Rev back up again and begin vending and slinging art at various car and tattoo shows throughout the Great State of Texas.
– My first solo show at Mad River in Dallas TX . I exhibited 16 large pieces all of which were created in the span of a year.
– My second solo show at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton TX . These pieces were displayed to coincide with the annual car and art show "Pistons and Paint."
– Exhibited again at a group show in Dallas TX at the Kettle Gallery, which featured artist who would later paint the walls of specific buildings throughout Deep Ellum.
/2010 – Showed at the Continental Gallery in Austin TX during the group effort “Kustom Kulture-Round Up Show.”
Currently – Painting signs/custom orders and vending at various car shows, oh and chasing my kids. |
